When my fiancé and I moved to Kenya, we struggled to find second hand furniture for our home. The platforms available were not set up for an easy experience. We bumped into many scams. We could not arrange to pick up the items. We were put under pressure by the seller. And this for those few items that we were lucky to find by being on the right group, at the right time.

On the other hand, we constantly witness the struggle of furniture resale from people that need to relocate from or within Kenya. They also bump into scams. They are nervous about inviting strangers into their homes. They need to deal with multiple potential customers that bargain on the price, and then don’t show up.

Smoove comes from a mix between the words ''smooth'' and ''move''. With it, I want to simplify the experience of people moving to, out of and within Kenya by providing a platform that makes buying and selling second hand furniture hassle-free, ensuring transparency on quality and excellent customer care.
